Crusty pies at the Echelon Pub

Whether it’s for a quick lunch or an indulgent snack, many will be more than happy to welcome a crunchy pie with that perfect filling. Pies remained as a core staple diet of travelling and working people in the cold northern European countries.

Why not savour one of these delicious pies in hot weather too? Hilton Colombo’s Colonial style pub; the Echelon Pub will be busy baking various kinds of pies from 25 January to 10 February.

It is believed that the first pies appeared around 9500 BC and pie pastry originated from Greece. The Echelon Pub will serve beef and Guinness pie which is slow cooked fillet of beef with Guinness, roast lamb pie, the famous steak and kidney pie, spicy seafood for seafood lovers and of course for the vegetarians mushroom and vegetable pie. All pies will be served with a generous portion of potato wedges and gravy.  

Echelon Pub is an ideal venue to have a quick bite or to hang out with friends or colleagues after work. Guests can play a game of pool whilst watching their favourite game of sport on a giant screen. Whatever the reason the atmosphere won’t let you down.  There is also a happy hour on drinks from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
