Fox on the Green Trivia Challenge sees second successful night

Charging through the usual convivial banter at the Galle Face Hotel’s popular restaurant and pub, In On The Green, would come the booming and familiar voice of well-known actor, compere and radio personality, Dominic Kellar.
“What was the food of the Greek gods?” he would ask, immediately launching a fleet of whispered answers followed by a salvo of hasty scribbling.
This was the prevailing atmosphere at the pub on 5 November, when the second week of the ‘Fox on Green Trivia Challenge’ took place. Running from 29 October to 19 November, the quiz is hosted by In On The Green together with new radio station Fox914, and pits teams of 10 – selected through a raffle draw – against each other every Wednesday night. Weekly winners have an opportunity to progress to the finals in addition to securing a raft of exciting prizes which include free drinks and dining and weekend getaways.
Each night’s quiz is broken up into five rounds which carry questions on history, geography, general knowledge, sports, music, food and quirky facts. Galle Face Hotel Marketing Communications Director Mahika Chandrasena explained: “We want to make the night the most engaging, fun and humorous pub quiz in the city and the quiz maestro himself, Dominic Kellar, will take the lead role in engaging with teams and making it an experience to remember.”
