Galadari holds successful Vesak Lantern Competition 2016

The Galadari Hotel successfully completed its Vesak Lantern Competition on 20 May. This was the ideal opportunity for all departments of the hotel to showcase their creative and artistic skills and to build camaraderie amongst work colleagues. The Chief Guests for the occasion were Ambapali Sikurajapathy and Prabath Delgahagoda and wife from the Yoshida Foundation. The competition brought to life some amazing talents and the best of the best lanterns were showcased after in the Lobby for the enjoyment of the guests. The competition was spread across five main categories. The ‘Creative Lantern’ category was won by the Cold Kitchen, ‘Eco Friendly Lantern’ was won by the Arabic Restaurant team, ‘Colorful Lantern’ award was won on Housekeeping, ‘Artistic Lantern’ was awarded to the Laundry Department and ‘Theme Vesak Lantern’ was awarded to the Main Kitchen. The respective First Runners Up for the categories were, Kitchen Stewarding, Flavors Restaurant, Front Office, Lobby Bar and the Engineering Department.
