Hilton Colombo Residences recently unveiled its plans for Valentine’s Day this year with four exciting promotions.
The main promotion for Valentine’s Day would be the Romantic Package For Two; a couple will receive a two-way chauffeur-driven executive car and a sumptuous international dinner at the Union Bar & Grill. Then, they will be treated to a night’s stay in one of the newest rooms, offering either a sea or city view, complete with a bottle of sparkling wine.
For breakfast, the couple could either order breakfast in bed or the buffet at the Union Bar & Grill. The package is valid between 14 until 16 February 2014 (Check-In: 2 p.m. and Check-Out: Noon for one night); the Romantic Package For Two is priced at Rs. 69,999 net per couple; conditions apply. The second promotion is for the discerning couple who would appreciate a private escapade with an Exquisite Six Course Dinner at Verandah Bistro and Poolside. The menu has been carefully crafted by Executive Chef Priyal Wijesuriya. Enjoy music by a saxophonist as you take in the cozy ambience at the newly revamped poolside as you and your partner enjoy a decadent menu of Hokkaido Scallop and Ikura, Tarragon Meyer Lemon and Lobster Consomme En Gelee as starters; Maple Leaf Duck and Poached Cabbage Roulade will be followed with a main course of either Australian Lamb and Fava Bean Agnolotti, Chicken Chorizo with Fennel, Tomato Concasse or Seared Sea Bass Fillet on Sweet Potato Mash, Baby Spinach and Saffron.
The crowning dessert would be the Strawberry Delight – a rate and exotic combination of strawberry parfait, nougatine, crème brûlée, and chocolate mousse topped with strawberry jelly. The courses will conclude with special hand-made chocolates. The Exquisite Six Course Dinner is valid on 14 February 2014, between 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., priced at Rs. 9,800 nett per couple. If the theme for a perfect Valentine’s Day is to include family, the hotel introduces the International Buffet at Union Bar & Grill on 14 and 15 February 2014, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Priced at Rs. 6,500 nett per couple, the buffet will include well-loved dishes such as Fresh Oyster Bar with Condiments, Blue Water Boiled Prawn & Mussel Pyramid, Home-made Marinated Salmon, and Baby Spinach, Kernel Corn & Passion Fruit Salad in its cold buffet selection.
The hot buffet will feature Lobster Ravioli in Aïoli, Salmon & Sea Bass Roulade with Dill cream, and Slow-cooked Lamb Loin with Apricot Chutney. Tempura Prawn with Soya Ginger Dip, Quick Fried Clams, Slow-roasted Duck Pancake with Plum Sauce and Slow-baked beef Wellington served with Béarnaise sauce are a definite must-try.
