Hilton Colombo welcomes Geoff & Friends in Concert

This Sunday, 18 March, is tipped to be a night to remember as Geoff & Friends, featuring one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated bands, Purple Rain, comes back for a reunion concert hosted by the Hilton Colombo.

Led by the charismatic Geoffrey Fernando with the band comprising of some of the hottest names in the field of local western music, the concert is sure to be a star studded night.

Hosted by the trendsetter in the hospitality industry – Hilton Colombo, the concert is presented by Colombo’s most celebrated nightclub, Rhythm and Blues (R&B) and Imran Pakir Saibo from Sri Lanka’s premier name in entertainment Fun Time Productions. The tri-part partnership between the three pioneers in their own industries - Hilton Colombo, Fun Time Productions and R&B, bring the best musical talent to perform for the audience.

The dynamic Geoffrey Fernando leads Purple Rain with the backing of Mirage. The reunion of Purple Rain will feature Derek Wickramanayake on guitar, Diren Sabaratnam on drums, Michael De Silva on guitar and drums, Kevin De Almeida on guitar and Sudu Goonesekara on keyboards. The concert will also feature several other brilliant entertainers such as Noeline Honter, Corrine De Almeida, Rajitha Rupasinghe, Russell Fernando, Debra Rabot and Gehan Fernando.

Performing at the Grand Ballroom at Hilton Colombo from 7.00 pm – 10.00 pm, the line up for the evening is set to take their audience on a special trip down memory lane. The concert is another dazzling celebration for Hilton Colombo, as they celebrate 25 years of service excellence, continuing to be the trendsetters in the industry and delivering on Conrad Hilton’s vision of spreading the light and warmth of hospitality, in Sri Lanka this year. The concert is a sure go to for music lovers to enjoy some of the best music known in the Western music industry.
