Edward Karunaratne, the founder of the Karunaratne Business Empire, knows his days are numbered and wants to make sure that his organisation doesn’t die with him.
He wants to leave the control in safe hands, in the hands of his protégée Rahul who is the Managing Director of the Karunaratne Organisation. But the sole heir to his fortune is his granddaughter Sunila and unfortunately Rahul happens to be her ex-husband.
Since their divorce, Sunila and Rahul avoid each other and if they do meet, they act like polite strangers. So when Edward’s close friend and Physician Dr. Sivasundaram summons the two of them to the Karunaratne ancestral home to sort out the will, they are forced to meet again.
They start off on a wrong footing as Sunila arrives with Cecil who happens to be one of her many admirers whom Rahul does not approve of. The constant presence of the eccentric neighbour Nirosha who has always had a crush on Rahul does not help the situation. The arrival of Rahul’s attractive secretary Theruni just adds fuel to the volatile situation.
