The Hollywood Reporter: Jack Black is set to take the stage at the Oscars.
The actor and lead singer of Tenacious D will make “a special appearance” at the awards ceremony, announced show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron on Thursday.
“Jack Black is a complete original comic voice, and we’re beyond thrilled that he has agreed to join the Oscars show in a very special sequence,” said Zadan and Meron in a statement.
Black has made three previous appearances at the Oscars, most recently as a presenter at the 81st Academy Awards in 2009.
He’s the latest performer announced to join the awards show, which will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and also feature an original song by Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Additionally, Common, John Legend, Rita Ora, Tim McGraw and Adam Levine will perform to represent the original song category.
