Jaffna Music Festival 2015

Arriving at the Jaffna Municipal Council Grounds at 4 pm we walked under a magnificent façade. The photo exhibition featuring moments captured from the previous music festivals held in Jaffna and Galle brought back memories of the successful execution of events. Though the children’s program had been cancelled, an orchestra comprising school children presented a recital, adding a bit of entertainment to the photo exhibition. The artistes lined up commenced their performances, showcasing acts from various parts of the island, highlighting traditional dance and music schools. Providing a taste of our neighbouring countries, three international acts joined in: Shankar Brothers from India, Agnee from India and the headliners
