La Fiesta: The newest flavour in town

La Fiesta Restaurant and Bar is the newest celebrity owned restaurant in Sri Lanka with Bathiya and Santhush (BnS) pairing up with experienced Mexican chef and restaurateur Chandana Silva of the La Fiesta Restaurant and Bar, in Roppongi, Tokyo. La Fiesta infuses hand-picked traditional Mexican recipes with diverse contemporary cuisine. The assortment of flavours and special sauces are made from fresh high-quality ingredients sourced both locally and internationally, creating a bold new experience prepared with care and style. The robust flavours of the region are cleverly accompanied by a bright and vibrant ambiance set in warm tones, the internal architecture resembling that of an old Mexican township.

Rather than simply lending their names to the place, Bathiya and Santhush have been an integral part of the process of setting up the restaurant. BnS express their love of the cuisine by collaborating to create the menu, while adding their expert touch to the look and feel of the interior of La Fiesta, from the furniture and lighting and most importantly, the sound system. Housed in the beautifully restored Victorian era Brown and Co. Building on Chatham Street, the exterior of La Fiesta celebrates and appreciate Colombo’s cultural heritage and history. While the restaurant and bar has been operating in a soft launch stage, La Fiesta will be commencing its full scale operations on 18 July 2013.
