The Lions Club of Colombo Orient has embarked on a greeting card project to help raise funds towards building a ramp and along with other facilities to assist the disabled and elderly at concert halls. The project, which commenced end of July, is hoping to continue until December.

Most disabled and elderly individuals enjoy going to watch musical plays, orchestras and other theatre productions said the President of the Lions Club Priyanthie de Silva. “We take for granted what is deprived to many and the Lions Club would like to do something about it.”

Members of the Lions Club through discussion decided on the greeting card project, with members assisting to prepare the cards. The cards are specially designed by an architect and are printed at high standards. Cards range from Christmas, New Years greetings to general.

The cards are priced at only Rs.20 each and come in packs of 10. Each card will have the same greeting inside as the one written outside. General cards do not have any greetings inside or outside. If you purchase more than 100 cards (i.e. 05 packs), you can get a customized greeting, company name and logo inside the card in a single colour.

Lions Club also welcomes any donations and sponsors towards this project. Priyanthie de Silva can be contacted on 0712227844 to place orders and for further information.
