Unlike a costume party, which focuses on familiar faces in funny outfits, the Mardi Gras Masquerade is all about mystery. Playing on the decadence of disguise, guests wear face masks, fitted with fixed expressions that allow all to mingle, flirt and forge new relationships as strangers, whether you are close friends or new acquaintances. Mardi Gras Masquerade party encourages guests to conceal their identities from one another until the final dance at 3.55 a.m., which ends in the unmasking.
Kama Colombo will be transformed to set the mood and echo the theme ‘Mardi Gras Masquerade’ today, Saturday 28 September, from 9 p.m. onwards. Deco will include feathers, Venetian facemasks and beads. It will be colourful, plenty of light gauze type fabric with shiny colourful silks hanging from the ceilings across the room, flower arrangements with different colors decorated with trinkets and confetti scattered from above during the peak of the party to add a more festive atmosphere.
Kama Colombo provides its guests with an environment which will simply ignite their deepest and darkest desires. Guests can dance the night away at the club Kama, which boasts the first ever multicoloured laser lighting system in Sri Lanka. This will truly be an unforgettable experience!
Every guest will be given a unique mask to be worn till the unmasking and Mardi Gras themed beads. All the masked divas will enjoy a free flow of bubbly till midnight.
To make this party even more festive and unique to Sri Lanka, they have flown down Janith Perera – world renowned Drummer and Percussionist who has played with the likes of Sugababes, Tinchie Stryda, Stonebridge and DJ Fresh to name a few. He along with DJ Upul, DJ KC Grey, DJ Rachith, DJ NiteHawk and Dj KC (Kama Resident) are sure to make the night an unforgettable one.
