The second wave of electronica music at home has been gaining momentum steadily during the start of this year with names like Duckdog, The Sheriffs and Christiaan Quyn gaining home and international attention for their own brand of euro influenced house, trance, dance punk and dubstep.

“Live electronica has taken over and is evident not only on the radio but also by the solid amount of support from both home and worldwide! It wouldn’t be right if we left it just at that, the time is right to give them a date to come out and do all those things they were born to do… kick some serious bass, beats And brains!” Red and BP of MotherElektro said.

Since the beginning of 2012, this duo have been gaining international acknowledgment for their solid and innovative work with artists such as Natalya and most recently hitting it big with ‘Don’t funk with me,’ an album by Alston Koch which they produced and co-wrote, an album that’s been released under Sony Music Australia.

‘Soul Souls,’ the very first single not only has gained constant rotation on Yes FM, but also other stations such as BBC Radio 2, Kiss FM, Ministry Of Sound and Party People Syndicates World Wide. 28 April saw them open for a billboard charting artist of three decades ‘Shaggy’ at the CR&FC.  Duckdog, a name that’s fast becoming popular with the electronica generation at home, this four-piece group started off in their basement, creating concoctions of sounds and debuted with the sort of dance punk and dub-step they’ve owned since 2011.

The beginning of this year saw the release of their singles ‘Basics of a bomb and  radio mustache’ on Yes FM and their live performances at alternative Sunday 1, 2 and 3 have gained them more support from a music circuit that continues to grow! Four months and a few weeks later Bo Sedkid, Pixel Morph, Saffron Xthur and Zen’s are ready for more of that creative, in your face bass… live of course!

Christiaan Quyn, the 20-something armed with fierce determination for changing the club scene at home, Christian Q is the only trance music producer at home to be signed to labels such as Silent Shore Records and Cross Air Records with multiple EPs that have gained support from some of the biggest international DWs in trance music such as Stoneface and Terminal (euphonic sessions march 2012), Wezz Devall , Craving and Aurosonic and Manuel De Saux.

The Brobotz, the only dubstep dance group from home comprising of three fresh names – Supun Liyon, Rizan B’Boy and Chathura Wikz - work closely with The Sherifs to create a dubstep culture that resonates from home and be a force to be reckoned with globally.
