NTB American Express Cards sponsors Exhibition of Sri Lankan Art 2013

Nations Trust Bank American Express Cards in an endeavour to support local art and artists has for the third consecutive year stepped forward to sponsor the annual Exhibition of Sri Lankan Art, presented by the George Keyt Foundation.
The exhibition will include Sri Lanka’s most prominent artists – sculptors and painters. The art loving public will be able to see the development in contemporary art in Sri Lanka as the exhibition will be confined to work done during the year 2013.
The exhibition this year will be from Thursday, 12 December to Sunday, 15 December at the J.D.A. Perera Galleries of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts at 46, Horton Place, Colombo 07. The inauguration ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 11 December at 6 p.m. with High Commissioner for India in Sri Lanka Shri Y.K. Sinha and his wife Shrm Sinha attending as Chief Guests.
The George Keyt Foundation has in the past 25 years made a major contribution to promote local art and local artists, by organising and presenting a series of exhibitions and presentations. The most notable has been the Kala Pola, which has been organised annually from 1993 to date.
Nations Trust Bank American Express Cards has in the recent past sponsored several events for varied interest groups, such as wild life photographers and music enthusiasts both western and eastern. This ongoing partnership with Sri Lankan Art 2013 and the George Keyt Foundation has provided the bank the opportunity to promote contemporary Sri Lankan art.
