The overall fashion statement? Versatile, sexy and a breath of fresh-air-originality
Inspired by the creative dreams of Otara, the founder of Odel, the ‘Otara’ jeans collection is yet another fashion-savvy spin-off initiative of one of the most inspirational icons in the Asian retail industry.
Taking the ramp for the first time at the HSBC Colombo Fashion Week 2012, the collection will then be exclusively launched in Europe for the Autumn/Winter season.
Embodying a golden age of couture, ‘Otara’ is a luxurious, edgy, fashion brand that represents a renaissance of the vintage charm that was the seventies. Fuss-free silhouettes through body-contoured tailoring. Timeless, biker inspired must-have cropped jackets.
Riding pants that define the right attitude. Unadorned urban chic shirts to distressed plaids and distinctive denims.
‘Otara’ evokes a classical finesse with its high-impact fabrics and the pared-down chic of its creative director, Otara who has been an inspirational force in the fashion retail industry.
The new collection is designed on a bold colour palette of electric blues, deep purples and tango reds to nude shades and blush tones.
And of course, dramatic black! The collection is embellished with striking vintage studs, pin fastenings and gold metallic trimmings and an understated hint of the buffalo-head brand logo reminiscent of the classical wild-west interwoven within motifs. Throw in those statement-accessories that are a part of this collection and rustle up a potent mix for a delicious wardrobe. For Otara, it’s once again about making dreams...a reality.
