The much anticipated 16th edition of the Colombo International Book Fair (CIBF) is now on at the BMICH. Panther, Sri Lanka’s leading stationery manufacturer, and one of the first and only manufacturers of educational products in the country, is for the second successive year, in charge of running the fair’s incredibly popular ‘Kids Corner’ located close to the entrance of the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. The company will also showcase its extensive range of high quality stationery products including exercise books, CR books, box files, and the brands wide range of attractive note books in varied sizes and colours. Last year Panther organised the ‘Kids Corner’ with The British Council, Room to Read and Sakura, and scored a resounding success for their efforts, with favourable reviews from all who visited us. Commenting on last year’s Kids Corner, Panther Managing Director Nihal Atukorala said: “We overcame all challenges, and presented children and their parents with an unforgettable experience. We succeeded in bringing together a group of people and organisations who helped us make this dedicated children’s area a success and we look forward to working with those people again to make the 2014 CIBF ‘Kids corner’ even better.” Visitors to the 2014 CIBF kids corner can look forward to a host of interesting and interactive activities including sand craft, storytelling, magic balloons, face painting and many board games facilitated by a team of instructors from Sakura, Room to Read and British Council.
