Ranaviru Real Stars, the winners of Sri Lanka’s most popular reality TV singing competition for members of the armed forces, will tour the United States in June 2013.
During the tour, the Stars will perform in three live concerts in Los Angeles, Washington DC and New York respectively.
All proceeds from the performances will be donated to build an Ayurvedic treatment facility at Mihindu Seth Madura in Attidiya, Sri Lanka.
Mihindu Seth Madura is the healing home for gravely disabled war heroes, located on 46 acres of land in the suburbs of Colombo, bordering the Attidiya bird sanctuary.
The facility provides lifelong care for valiant soldiers whose injuries are so grave, to be cared for by their families.
Currently, there are over 50 disabled soldiers being treated at Mihindu Seth Madura.
The Ranaviru Real Stars tour in the US is jointly organised by Ranaviru Foundation USA, Sri Lanka Embassy in Washington DC, Sri Lanka Mission to the UN in New York and Ranga Kala Kavaya in Washington DC.
Ranaviru Stars Live in Concert – Washington DC is organised by the Embassy of Sri Lanka Washington DC and Ranga Kala Kavaya and will be held on 29 June 2013 at 7 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy High School Auditorium, 1901 Randolph Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
