The debut exhibition of artist Rudrani Devi Das ‘World of Fae’ was held at Gallery Mountcastle from 28 September to 4 October, featuring some 30 paintings and 30 drawings and sketches. The photographs here capture the opening night of the exhibition, where a number of veteran artists and friends gathered to discuss the collection and appreciate the art that was inspired by fantasy, femininity and nature, with an undercurrent theme of spirits and elements. Catalogues of the artist’s work were also sold at the gallery, of which all sales proceeds were in aid of Animal SOS Sri Lanka – Pix by Upul Abayasekera
