The National Association of Photographers – Sri Lanka (NAPSL) is holding its annual members’ exhibition of photography ‘Soba Roo’ (Beauty of Nature) from 3 to 5 June to mark World Environment Day which falls on 5 June.

Being a group of nature lovers, the NAPSL always endeavours to protect the environment through the field of photography and has been organising its members’ exhibition on nature for almost 10 years to mark this day of importance.

This year it is holding the exhibition in association with the Presidential Task Force on Environmental Protection as a part of the State Environment Week celebrations in Matale from 3 to 5 June. President Maithripala Sirisena will award the prizes to the winners on 5 June.

NAPSL Executive Director Wimal Amaratunge said they have made arrangements to hold this exhibition in Bangalore, India for the fourth consecutive year, at the ‘Image Today – Bangalore’ photographic show  from 1 to 3 July on the invitation of the organisers of the event.
