Spa Ceylon, the luxury bath and wellness products, not to mention their luxury spas, have once again broken ground, by forging an alliance with ‘Beefy’s Big Sri Lanka Walk 2013’, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation project, which entails cricketing legend Sir Ian Botham walking from the former conflict zone of the north to tsunami-hit southern Sri Lanka. Funds raised will be donated to the Foundation for Goodness to improve the lives of thousands of children in the north and east of Sri Lanka. Sir Ian will walk along A-roads through local towns and villages, averaging 20 miles a day in the heat and humidity. He will be accompanied by a select team from Spa Ceylon who will travel as part of his team and provide him with the Spa’s now famous relaxation, rejuvenation and pampering rituals at every stop to revitalise the famous cricketer and his team, as well as the accompanying celebrities who are participating in this iconic event. Royal Kandyan Ritual According to Marketing Director Shalin Balasuriya, Spa Ceylon is sponsoring the walk, with funds supporting the Foundation of Goodness, whilst being the Official Spa Partner for the walk. “We will be treating Sir Ian and his team with our famous Royal Kandyan Ritual which was practiced on weary Royals in ancient times,” said Balasuriya.
