The State Music Awards 2009/10 were held on 30 August under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees. The Minister of Cultural Affairs, T.B. Ekanayaka, Ministry Secretary Wimal Rubasinga and the President of Kala Mandalaya, Kalo Fonseka were also present at the occasion.
