Sri Lanka’s leading metal ensemble to feature alongside region’s finest talent in the Middle East         Sri Lanka’s metal powerhouse Stigmata will grip audiences with their unique sound as they take on the Middle East at Resurrection Dubai on Friday 13 March at the Music Room. This is said to be the biggest rock show staged in the Middle East in recent times. The event will bring together the region’s best metal and brutal talent, including Devoid (India), Creative Waste (KSA), Smouldering In Forgotten (Bahrain), and Maticrust (UAE/Philippines). “This is the first time Stigmata will perform in the UAE and we are absolutely psyched to kick start our international touring cycle with such a talented lineup in what promises to be an epic night,” enthuses Stigmata front man Suresh de Silva. The organisers of the much-awaited event, Hani Taqi and Vinod Varma, note: “Resurrection Events has run successful Rock and Metal concerts in Bahrain since 2010. This year, setting up the event in a city like Dubai allows us to bring a one-of-a-kind lineup of exciting bands from the Middle East and South East Asia regions. We expect concert-goers to have a memorable night discovering the region’s top bands, and the bands themselves will play to a new, exciting audience that will become fans.” 2015 will see Stigmata celebrate 15 years as the architects of pure Sri Lankan metal. 15 years as the premier and prime metal quintet in Sri Lanka. 15 years of uncompromising music and 15 years of evolving to become one of Asia’s most sought after creative forces and innovators of the genre. The quintet will release their fourth album this year as part of their 15-year anniversary celebrations. They also have a string of concerts and overseas tours lined up throughout 2015. ‘Resurrection Dubai’ will certainly be something to behold on Friday 13 March at the prestigious Music Room, at the Majestic Hotel. And rest assured Dubai, will taste the storm of the century and surely be Stigmatized! – The Dragon Whisperer
