Sukhee Hair Oil in brand-new packaging

Established in June 2010 in a typical village environment, Sukhee Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. envisioned  offering trusted quality products made from 100% herbal raw materials for hair, skin and health care. The company is presently re-launching their flagship brand, the ‘Sukhee’ Hair Oil encased in an attractive cylindrical cardboard pack. Its new label gives the product a brand new look in keeping with the high quality of the oil it encases and hopes to successfully cater to diverse competitive markets in Colombo and the suburbs.

The company approached the market with its ayurvedic hair care product for men, women and children. It treats all types of hair related ailments such as alopecia (falling hair), prevents baldness and thinning hairlines, promotes hair re-growth and hair density. Its main vision is to introduce a range of herbal cosmetic products and tailor-make special ayurvedic medications on demand. With a successful presence in the domestic and international market, and making use of its expert utilisation of available resources and traditional manufacturing, the miracle oil contains a family recipe handed down from generations.  Hence, Sukhee Oil – enriched with the goodness of Ayurveda, has launched out to offer its benefits to a wider segment of the market.

Age-old traditional methods and processes are utilized in producing this miracle oil such as the ‘Pahakada’ – which is used for extraction of vital ingredients and has been handed down by generations and the traditional Ola leaf. Copper vessels are solely used for its preparation. Selected suppliers provide essential ingredients such as Keekeridiya and are grown solely for Sukhee by some suppliers. Other ingredients are imported from India, but the company’s goal is to grow its own medicinal garden in order to facilitate quality improvement and speedier supply.

Dinithi Samarathunga, coming from a long line of ayurvedic physicians, is currently following a Specializing Degree in Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (ICHEM). She is hoping with this knowledge and experience, to develop traditional formulas to suit the needs of modern society. Currently undertaking research on quality upgrading of present formulas, she is also concentrating on the development of ayurvedic medicines.  Daughter of parents who are a combination of Ayurvedic physician and pharmacist, her heritage includes a grandfather who was the famous ‘Bathanwaththe Vedamahatthaya’ in Maharagama.
