Sumitra and Ravindra at Venice Film Festival 2013

Sumitra Peries, Chairman of The Film Team and celebrated actor Ravindra Randeniya and Director of the Lester James Peries and Sumitra Peries Foundation Manabarana Sameera Randeniya flew to Venice yesterday (29 August) to the Venice International Film Festival.

They will be present at the special screening of the specially restored version of Dr. Lester James Peries’ (1972) movie classic ‘Nidhanaya this weekend. Coincidentally, 41 years ago in 1972, ‘Nidhanaya’ truimphed at the same Venice International Film Festival by winning the Silver Lion of St Mark.
