By Sarah Hannan Tea Avenue has been in operation for nearly three months now and as promised it is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. onwards since 8 January. Introducing a concept hangout spot that specialises not only in tea but also coffee, the venue is mostly frequented by young adults who work in and around Barnes Place and Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 7. Conveniently located at the corner of the intersection, Tea Avenue offers parking space and an outdoor seating area for those who need some breathing space. Designed by a Singapore architect and interior designing firm, the shop is equipped with contemporary furniture and lighting. One must order the food and beverages and obtain the token and be seated at a comfortable spot and within 10-15 minutes the order will be brought to your table by the courteous staff.
