Beautiful brunch, bouquets of thanks and verses of love on Parents Day

The Kingsbury is innovated to truly capture and create a moment of blissful joy for parents. It’s true every year, hospitality establishments the world over celebrate a long-list of anniversaries and commemorations, but Parents Day – possibly one of the most significant and important days in the calendar for each one of us – somehow remains overlooked. This year, The Kingsbury recently innovated to go beyond the conventional, by recognising that as a hospitality leader it must create true and timeless memories for its guests. In this quest, it provided the opportunity for guests to enjoy a day filled with thanksgiving, camaraderie and love together with their parents and their own children, an opportunity that is possibly a first in the hospitality annals of Sri Lanka. And it was certainly not an opportunity that was overlooked by guests. The daylong Parents Day celebration at The Kingsbury was an exceptional success. The exclusive and elegant Sunday Champagne Brunch was sold out, and the ambience at The Harbour Room was one of love and laughter. An exceptional menu put together by Chef Kithsiri de Silva, saw the guests enjoy not just the company but also the tantalising flavours and the elegance of the cuisine. By evening, The Kingsbury’s iconic Sky Lounge transformed to a magical place of song, with the De Lanerolle Brothers joining the guests to sing an ode of love and thanks to their own parents. As they crooned the night away, the audience revelled in an evening of exceptional company, forming a memory that will probably last a lifetime. Guests that night, both young an old, thanked The Kingsbury for giving them the wonderful opportunity to be together with their parents and their children, in a unique setting for a beautiful experience. With customised and truly customer relevant services, The Kingsbury is looked upon as the definite hospitality trendsetter in Sri Lanka, one that is unquestionably on par with global hospitality leaders.
