Tsing Tao introduces dim sum

Tsing Tao, the latest Chinese Restaurant opened its doors at the Race Course Building at Reid Avenue, Colombo 7 early this year. Tsing Tao introduces much awaited dim sum (Chinese brunch snacks). Flown in especially for the job is Dim Sum Chef Xianchun Meng from Beijing. Chef Meng has begun to marvel his loyal customers with 14 mouth watering dim sum dishes, all served individually Monday to Friday during lunch between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All dim sum are handmade with proper authentic Chinese ingredients and are a ‘must try’ according to Chef Meng. There is a variety of dim sum with prawn items being the most popular and there is a range for vegetarians as well. There are steamed dim sum as well as fried. He joins Master Chef Huasheng Mo as a team member. Master Chef Huasheng Mo with over 15 years of experience is heading its culinary team. He has had extensive international experience in the Far East and Asia spanning over eight years during his career. He is a versatile Chef with exceptional skills in Guangdong, Sichuan, Peking and Shanghai cuisine. He has already made a name in the gastronomic circle of Colombo for very high standard cuisine. “The secret behind my success is that I only use authentic Chinese ingredients handpicked by me and imported directly from China,” he said. “Our motto is ‘Eat fresh’. Hence all seafood, most meats, vegetables and fruits are sourced daily for freshness and quality.
