‘Kulee Kaviyakuge Paapochchaaranaya’ (Confessions of a Hired Poet), a collection of poetry along with ‘Sanada Saha Diya Banduna’ (The Moon and the Pail of Water), a collection of translated poetry will be launched on Thursday, 14 June, 2012 at 3.30 p.m. at the National Library and Documentation Services Board Auditorium.
The veteran poet Lal Hegoda will be heading the table and veteran poets Ariyawansa Ranaweera and Nandana Weerasinghe will be delivering special lectures. An open discussion and poetry readings will also be held at the launch.
Ajith Nishantha is a bilingual writer who has been contributing poems to local newspapers and periodicals and he launched his first collection of poetry titled ‘Dorata Weduma’ (The Launch) in 2000. He won the Best Young Poet Award at the Youth Awards Ceremony held by the National Youth Services Board of Sri Lanka in 2000.
