‘Wild Clicks’: An exciting pictorial journey

‘Wild Clicks’ by Sriyan de Silva Wijeyeratne is an exciting pictorial journey through the wilderness which takes the reader to the dry and wet zones, mountains and rain forests of beautiful Sri Lanka, and across the oceans to the wilderness in Kenya and Tanzania, and even off the shores of England. The 184-page book provides the opportunity to explore encounters with over 125 animal species in addition to several locations, through over 225 different images. Several well written articles provide great insight in areas such as butterflies, exploring aspects of nature, science and spirituality, the misunderstood world of snakes, and also a look at some familiar birds in a different light. ‘Wild Clicks’ provides a fresh perspective and makes a wonderful addition to any nature lover’s book collection. The book will be launched on 6 April at 4 p.m. at St. Peter’s College Hall and orders could either be collected at the venue or mailed to you locally. The pre-publication offer of Rs. 3,500 is valid until 6 April. Wild Clicks, which was printed overseas, includes contributions from Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne, Anandalal Nanayakkara, Fr. Mervyn Fernando, Dr. A.J .Roshan Perera, and Ashinsa and Rashmi de Silva Wijeyeratne, with the foreword by Luxshmanan Nadaraja.
