Youngest handler wins big at Ceylon Kennel Club show

Praboda de Silva was adjudged the ‘Best junior Handler’ at the recently held Ceylon Kennel Club show.  



The seven-year-old handler went on to gather the most prizes for dog handling at the 105th Ceylon Kennel Club show. Confidently handling the pug and smooth fox terrier, de Silva bagged the ‘Best Junior Handler’ title and was also placed 4th in the Novice Exhibitors category.

Handling Clarence Perera’s pug, he won the class of ‘Best Dog’ for the breed. Then handling a smooth fox terrier, he won the ‘Best of Breed’ class as well. Competing confidently in the children’s class, he emerged the group winner becoming the ‘Best Junior Handler’ at the show. He was also the youngest handler competing in the ring at the show.

The show was judged by ANKC all breeds judge Bruce Marquette.
