The Y&Y Sports casual wear collection, logo and awareness campaign were unveiled at a grand launch held at Speed Drome, Battaramulla held recently.
The result of a growing number of people who are taking up the practice of working out and being unusually casual and stylish with their attire anytime of the day, as well as requests from their customers, Y&Y sought out suggestions and feedback from their talent and local professional expertise for inspiration and design.
The main finding was the need for cooler, casual and more comfortable clothing which would do away with moisture, which led to each piece being carefully designed and developed with the said attributes and practices in mind through their trailblazing apparel brand and campaign ‘Y&Y – Life Is A Game’.
Asela Francisco, Assistant General Manager of Avian, said: “We are proud and greatly honoured to be the first-ever Sri Lankan apparel cluster to design and supply an entire range of top-class cohesive sports casual wear products to our clientele in order to stand out from the rest with proficiency to convert performance-wear into casual wear to comfortably suit up the Sri Lankan customer.”
While previously offering casual clothing attire for men and women, this new line for both men and women offers four main product categories, which include a mix of tops and bottoms that are designed to be combined and worn together. All the items are designed, developed and manufactured in Sri Lanka and feature eco-friendly breathable eyelet mesh fabric to enhance ventilation for the human body and made from recycled polyester.
Enhanced ventilation to wipe away moisture while offering a sleek design and perfect finish through contoured stitching are key attributes of all their four product categories, which are perfect for post-workouts and for everyday wear.
