Paddy farmers in the Polonnaruwa Aralaganvila area under Mahaweli B zone are complaining that the price of a kilo of paddy in the market has decreased by more than Rs.90. Therefore the farmers urge the government to purchase their paddy harvest of the Yala season at a guaranteed price and the banning of rice imports.
