Dengue infections on the rise

Dengue infections are on the rise in Sri Lanka and are spreading to all areas in the country. At present, almost all districts in the country are reporting cases. Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts in the Western Province have recorded the highest case rate particularly during last month as 1910, 1482, 601 respectively. 7767 suspected dengue cases were reported to the Epidemiology Unit from all over the island from January 2022.
