Government to pay $ 6.7 m to Chinese fertiliser company for rejected fertiliser shipment

The Government on the advice of the Attorney General’s Department has decided to pay $ 6.7 million to the Chinese fertiliser producer Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group Co. Ltd. for the rejected organic fertiliser shipment.

Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said the company has been instructed to reproduce the fertiliser stock in accordance with the standards of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
