Massive protests near President’s private residence demanding President to ‘go home’

Police used tear gas and water canons to disperse a large crowd that had gathered outside President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s residence in Mirihana to protest at the increasing economic burden and shortages. Meanwhile the Kandy-Colombo Road has been blocked by the protesters at Bulugaha junction disrupting vehicular movement. Few vehicles have been attacked.
