People enjoying ocean waves on tsunami remembrance day

People along the coastal areas from Galle Face to Dehiwala were seen enjoying themselves at beaches on Boxing Day, which marked the 17th anniversary of the deadly 2004 tsunami that hit the island nation. On 26 December, the commemoration of the tragic incident was seen in some parts of the country.
