Queen’s Baton relay 2022

National athletes, officials from the National Olympic Committee and British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Sarah Hutton OBE were among those who participated in the Sri Lankan leg of the Queen's Baton relay for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Commonwealth medalists Chinthana Vithanage and Dinusha Hansani Gomes received the Queen's Baton before handing it over to NOCSL officials and High Commissioner Hutton at the Olympic House in Colombo. The baton arrived to the country from the Maldives, and after moving to some key sites in the country, it will head to Bangladesh.
