Sri Lanka imposes travel ban on travellers from several South African countries

Travellers with a travel history (including transit) in the past 14 days to South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Eswatini will not permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) said. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a new coronavirus variant to be "of concern" and named it Omicron.
