UNP Marked it’s 75th Anniversary

The United National Party (UNP) founded on September 6, 1946 by Don Stephen Senanayake, will mark its 75th anniversary on Monday (September. 6). The UNP had been the governing party from 1947 to 1956, from 1965 to 1970, from 1977 to 1994, 2001 to 2004, 2015 to 2019 and controlled the Executive Presidency for 16 years from 1978 to 1994.
