Decoding the future of work in the technology industry

Great Place to Work recognised the 10 Best Workplaces in the Technology industry of Sri Lanka on 27 June at the Learning and Networking Forum themed “Decoding the Future of Work in the Technology Industry”. 

The event that brought together the management teams of the Best Workplaces and industry representatives to discuss trends and successful strategies. While the focus was on preparing for the fast-paced evolution of the tech world, the event also showcased the importance of creating positive work environments and provided valuable insights while fostering collaboration among tech leaders, to help them navigate the future of work.

Great Place to Work Sri Lanka CEO Kshanika Ratnayaka kicked off the evening with a welcome address that emphasised the importance of adapting to constant change and obtaining employee feedback to support data-driven decisions in driving change.
 

Then an engaging keynote speech on digital transformation was delivered by FITIS Chairman Indika De Zoysa, highlighting the need to maintain competitive advantage within the 4th industrial revolution and opportunities for Tech organisations to align with the National Digital Economy Strategy for 2030. 

A panel discussion on ‘The Future of Work’ with senior leaders of SYNERGEN Health and SYNERGEN Technology Labs was a major highlight. They shared their experience in overcoming challenges and best practices around nurturing a culture of listening that drives innovation and problem-solving, as well as supporting employee wellbeing and work-life balance. 

Thereafter, Senior Relationship Manager Shaznin Kitchilan shared key takeaways from the Great Place to Work employee perception study on the Sri Lankan Technology industry’s workplace culture and a summary of the study insights is given below.
