The opening of the Southern Book Fair 2024 in Galle yesterday under the patronage of the Southern Province Governor, Willie Gamage and the heads of the Commonwealth Publishers Network including Dinesh Kulatunga, the chairman of the network and Edward Robbins, its director. The event is held at the Galle Town Hall Auditorium
The Southern Book Fair 2024 kicked off in Galle yesterday. Organised by the Commonwealth Publishers Network, the Fair features leading Sri Lankan and international cultural practitioners. It will go on till 24 January.
Apart from promoting Sri Lanka as a unique cultural destination, several events connected with key tourism related stakeholders in the Southern Province to be held throughout the weeks to come including an Independence Day concert on 4 February.
The Southern Book Fair also complements Sri Lanka’s iconic international literary and tourism linked annual event, the Galle Literary Festival from 25 to 28 January and Galle Concerto 2024 from 19 January to 30 March and Matara Festival for the Arts from 1 to 4 February.
The Harmony Page will feature articles connected to the Southern Book Fair 2024 and its central philosophy of promoting Sri Lanka as a travel destination. The event commenced yesterday (Friday) in Galle under the patronage of the Southern Province Governor, Willy Gamage.
This edition of the Harmony page is produced in collaboration with the Destination Sri Lanka publication especially produced for the Southern Book Fair by Neptune Publishers.
