Policyholders of Ceylinco Life can now undergo radiation treatment for cancer for up to half the cost, as the life insurance leader passes on the benefit of its substantial investments in healthcare to its customers.
The owner of two state-of-the-art radiation treatment centres in Colombo, Ceylinco Life has announced that any policyholder who has maintained his or her policy for three years or more will be entitled to a discount of 50% at these facilities.
Other policyholders will enjoy a 25% saving, the company said.
Valid up to 31 December 2014, this generous offer is also extended to any family members who are covered by Ceylinco Life policies, the company said.
The discounted radiation treatment offered to Ceylinco Life policyholders may be availed of at the Ceylinco Healthcare Centre which operates the first Linear Accelerator installed in Sri Lanka, and at the Ceylinco TomoTherapy Centre which commenced operations in October last year, and is the country’s only TomoTherapy treatment facility.
TomoTherapy can provide significantly more accurate radiation therapy for even the smallest tumours and reduce treatment times. It can be used to treat cancers all over the body, but is especially effective for paediatric cancers, head and neck, pancreatic, breast, anal and rectal cancers.
