Asiri Group of Hospitals, trusted for high standards in patient-centred care has signed a landmark agreement with the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF), to provide comprehensive concessions to all Government employees through the Agrahara Medical Insurance scheme.
The event was attended by several distinguished participants from both organisations. Representing NITF were Chairperson Sagala Abhayawickrama, Operations AGM Samil Thushara, Insurance AGM Nimali Pathirana, Asst. Manager – Legal Prathibha Welikanna, Marketing Asst. Manager Nuwan Dissanayake, and Acting Finance AGM Dammika Weerakoon.
Asiri Hospitals was represented by Asiri Central Hospital Director – Operations Nihal Ratnayake, Chief Process Officer Indresh Fernando, Group Business Development Head Bhathiya Jayasinghe, and Government Sector Business Development Head Dhananjaya Bandara Dela.
The enduring partnership aims to offer tangible healthcare benefits and the renowned comprehensive healthcare services offered by Asiri Hospitals to all NITF Agrahara members. It marks a major milestone in Asiri Hospitals’ commitment to build long-term collaborations that benefit the community. It also reaffirms Asiri Hospitals’ position as a trusted healthcare provider ensuring healthcare is more accessible, affordable, while uplifting the living standards of the public service.
Importantly, Agrahara members are eligible to seek treatment from any hospital in the Asiri Group or its laboratories. The agreement also introduces a cashless admission scheme for NITF members, simplifying the process and enabling seamless access to Asiri Hospitals’ services without the need for upfront payments. Members can benefit from waived admission fees, reducing the financial burden for those seeking medical care. Room rates are also heavily discounted.
The MoU entitles Agrahara members to a variety of exclusive discounts on outpatient (OP) and inpatient (IP) services at Asiri Hospitals. Additionally, discounts on laboratory investigations, on interventional radiology, PET scans, and radiation therapy. For admissions within a 10 km radius, NITF members will have access to free ambulance services, further enhancing the convenience of receiving medical care.
Dr. Manjula Karunaratne expressed his enthusiasm for the new collaboration, stating: “This MoU is a testament to our dedication to providing Government employees with exceptional healthcare services. We are confident that this partnership will set a new standard in healthcare collaboration.”
Gamani N. Liyanarachchi added: “NITF is delighted to partner with Asiri Hospitals to offer our members enhanced healthcare benefits. The agreement aligns with our mission to ensure that Agrahara beneficiaries receive timely and efficient medical services. We believe the long-term collaboration will benefit the community. We request members to provide proper and accurate documents for medical claims, and we will ensure a speedy reimbursement process.”
