“Today marks a historic milestone in HNB’s 135-year journey. We’re proud to be the first private bank in Sri Lanka to establish a state-of-the-art Wellness Centre within our premises, in partnership with Lanka Hospitals. By providing easily accessible, prompt healthcare services, we’re addressing the diverse needs of our staff demographic and ensuring their wellness isn’t compromised by lengthy medical procedures. This Wellness Centre is more than a facility – it’s a testament to our genuine care for our HATNA family and a strategic investment in our human capital.”
“As we celebrate this milestone in our journey, we’re not just differentiating ourselves from other banks; we’re setting a new standard for employee care in the banking sector. We’re confident that this initiative will yield benefits for our HNB family for decades to come, reinforcing our legacy of innovation and employee-centric practices,” said Acting CEO Damith Pallewatte.
“This partnership with HNB exemplifies our commitment to extending high-quality healthcare beyond the hospital walls. By providing on-site wellness facilities, we’re addressing the evolving health needs of the workforce. We are confident in our healthcare and service, exemplified by the fact that, despite economic challenges, we’ve invested heavily in cutting-edge medical technology. This Wellness Centre is a culmination of our longstanding relationship with HNB and our shared vision for accessible, premium healthcare. As we expand our services, including plans for the North and East, collaborations like this underscore our dedication to fostering a culture of wellness across Sri Lanka,” said Lanka Hospitals Group CEO Deepthi Lokuarachchi.
The Wellness Centre is designed to reduce the time and effort employees spend on healthcare needs, promote preventative care, and address health issues promptly. This forward-looking approach aims to foster a healthier, more engaged, and productive workforce.
This initiative is the latest in a comprehensive list of programs that HNB carries out to support employee wellness. As one of employee wellbeing’s biggest advocates, HNB’s programs offer a bevy of health-related benefits, covering aspects from Surgical Hospitalisation Expenditure (SHE), Critical Insurance Cover, and door step medical check-ups.
