Heal Hub unveils state-of-the-art Wellness Pavilion for disability care

Heal Hub Ltd., recently inaugurated its state-of-the-art Wellness Pavilion marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s healthcare landscape.

The momentous event drew a distinguished gathering of healthcare professionals, community leaders, and supporters, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests who played pivotal roles in the establishment of this groundbreaking facility. Nandani Samaranayake, a trailblazing figure in occupational therapy and former principal of the School of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, had the honour of cutting the ribbon, signifying the official commencement of Heal Hub’s transformative journey. Adding to the significance of the occasion, the renowned International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) CEO/Co-Founder Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe, unveiled Heal Hub’s new website (https://www.healhub.lk), providing a valuable resource for those seeking information and access to the centre’s comprehensive range of services.

In his address, Chairman Pradeep Chandana Gunarathne emphasised the culmination of two years of dedication and hard work in establishing Heal Hub as the sole facility in Sri Lanka to offer a complete spectrum of services for individuals with disabilities under one roof. Gunarathne underscored the commitment to assembling a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care.

The event was further distinguished by the presence of GHC – Global Education Director – Operations Minnell Vanderpoorten, among other esteemed members of the community. Their attendance reflected the widespread support and recognition for Heal Hub’s mission to revolutionise disability care in the country.

Managing Director Danushka Rumesh Sanjeewa reaffirmed Heal Hub’s inclusive philosophy, welcoming individuals of all ages and abilities to benefit from the centre’s diverse array of services. The Wellness Pavilion offers a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education, clinical psychology, psychological counselling, and career guidance, all aimed at empowering individuals to achieve their full potential and live enriched lives.
