Healthy Life Clinic to conduct free screening sessions in celebration of Women’s Day 2020

Leading Colombo-based medical centre, Health Life Clinic, is celebrating Women’s Day 2020 with a series of free screening and consulting sessions with several renowned specialists in dermatology, endocrinology, diabetes, nutrition, and family medicine throughout the month of March. This is in addition to 10% of all packages and services for women during this month.

As part of its continued support towards the early diagnosis and effective management of women’s health issues, the clinic will give ladies a chance on 11 March 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., to see Dr. Nayana Perera, consultant dermatologist, helping individuals figure out their skin type, test for any skin conditions and seek advice on the healthy upkeep of one’s skin.

On 20 March for the day-long final session, Healthy Life Clinic is offering ladies a chance to get blood sugar, blood pressure, and BMI checked, and consult with renowned family physicians, Dr. Kayathri Periasamy, Dr. Ruvaiz Haniffa, and Dr. Ruwani Goonewardene.

“It is important that women all over Sri Lanka and the world put themselves and their health at the top of their to-do list. Awareness, regular screening and education definitely has a positive impact on saving lives. Early intervention and diagnosis are crucial in mitigating the effects or even prevent most diseases. Unfortunately, most women have trouble recognising warning signs for particular conditions until it is too late because they are not aware of them or are too busy taking care of and nurturing those around them. This is why we thought of dedicating the month of March to the women in our lives and gifting them with the opportunity to interact with and seek advice from various specialists at no cost,” Healthy Life Clinic Director and Head Consultant Diabetologist, Dr. Kayathri Periasamy explained.
