Heart to Heart Trust Fund and Swire Shipping support National Hospital of Sri Lanka

The Heart to Heart Trust Fund, in collaboration with Swire Shipping Ltd., has donated emergency items valued at over Rs. 1 million to the Operating Theatre at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL).

On behalf of the Trust Fund, the Trustees Dr. Rajitha De Silva, Dr. Mahendra Munasinghe, Dr. Kumudini Ranatunga, and Executive Coordinator Shanti Fernando and the theatre staff presented these emergency items to NHSL Deputy Director General Dr. W.K. Wickramasinghe.

The Trust Fund expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to Swire Shipping Company for their generous donation of $ 2,000 to the Heart to Heart Trust Fund, a Sri Lankan charity organisation selected by Captain Vimar, who received the MD award in 2023, as his preferred beneficiary.

Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Mahendra Munasinghe, who keenly initiated the intervention, extended his heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this possible. 

This act of kindness is something we can all take pride in.
