Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, hand sanitisers have been in high demand and hard to source. The shortage has especially affected hospitals and healthcare workers who are on the frontlines tirelessly treating patients without regard to their own safety.
As a local company dedicated to support the community, Hemas FMCG, understands that helping those who are directly fighting this virus is critical and has responded to this crisis, by providing hand sanitisers to those who need it the most.
The first manufactured batch of Hemas FMCG’s new Shield Sanitiser was donated for this national cause. Shield hand sanitiser packs were handed over to officers-in-charge of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, the country’s largest teaching hospital, the Colombo North Teaching Hospital in Ragama and the District General Hospital, Negombo.

The company decided to use this opportunity to step up and assist the community, by donating the very first batch of our newly manufactured hand sanitiser to those who need it the most and we are honoured to do so in such a practical way,” said Hemas Manufacturing Director Marketing Fiona Juriansz Munasinghe.
