Hemas Pharmaceuticals awarded COVID-19 Safety Management System Certification

Hemas Pharmaceuticals becomes the first pharmaceutical company in Sri Lanka to be awarded the SLS 1672:2020 COVID-19 Safety Management System Certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). 

The certification has been awarded as a result of the company’s relevance, rigor and consistency in the implementation and reinforcement of best in class safety management practices to minimise the risks of COVID-19 within its work locations

As an organisation that prioritises making healthful living happen amongst the families of our nation, Hemas Pharmaceuticals actively works towards ensuring the health and safety of its employees from the risks of COVID-19 in its work locations. 

Sharing his thoughts on the certification, Hemas Pharmaceuticals Managing Director Jude Fernando said, “Creating a healthier nation begins first by ensuring the health and safety of our own employees from the risks of COVID-19 in our work locations during the current pandemic situation. The COVID-19 Safety Management System Certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) pledges that the certified organisation’s health and safety procedures are in adherence with governmental requirements, and this indicates that Hemas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Hemas Surgical and Diagnostics Ltd.
