Lanka Hospitals team ‘Black Ants’ from the General Operation Theatre won the prestigious gold award for best quality circles at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC), held recently in Manila, Philippines.
The ICQCC is set as the yearly venue for exchanging ideas and experiences on Quality Control Circle activities or team based improvement programs among countries to further the development of its activities, programs, and practitioners. Currently there are 13 members: Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
