The NDB Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to community-driven initiatives by joining forces with the 1990 Suwaseriya Foundation to support their vital ‘Adopt an Ambulance’ program. In a significant step towards enhancing emergency medical services across the nation, the NDB will sponsor the operational cost of one ambulance for an entire year.

The partnership agreement was officially sealed in a signing ceremony attended by NDB Director/CEO Dimantha Seneviratne, and the Suwaseriya Foundation Chairman Dumindra Ratnayaka. This collaborative effort aims to address the challenges faced by the Suwaseriya Foundation in funding the operational expenses of their island-wide pre-hospital care and ambulance services, particularly amid the economic difficulties they are currently countering.

The adopted ambulance, proudly bearing the NDB brand, will play a crucial role in providing free ambulance services to communities in need, ensuring timely and efficient emergency care. This initiative aligns with NDB’s ethos as a community-driven bank committed to making a positive impact on society.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this partnership, Dimantha Seneviratne said, “As a socially responsible entity, NDB is honoured to collaborate with the 1990 Suwaseriya Foundation in supporting this national cause. We believe everyone deserves access to emergency medical services, and this initiative reflects our dedication to contributing to the well-being of our fellow citizens.”

The Suwaseriya Foundation, renowned for its commitment to providing free ambulance services, has been instrumental in delivering pre-hospital care across the island.
